We are looking for a Warehouse Technician in our Kitting Operations who will be responsible for material handling activities including inbound, outbound and to internal production areas. This associate will also be responsible for inventory accuracy and material preservation. This is a 2nd shift position at our New Hope location working Monday - Thursday, 11:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m., as well as over time on Fridays and weekends as needed.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times.
Responsible for handling inbound deliveries; including unloading, verifying to print, inspecting, counting, receiving and warehousing all materials.
Supplying kitting lines on-demand with the necessary parts and packaging materials in a systematic manner, using Lean methodologies.
Set up and monitor all aspects of shipping all types of kits, using various shipping platforms, working closely with internal sales associates, Logistics Lead and trucking companies.
Maintain inventory accuracy of 99% or better.
Follow proper handling and storage procedures to preserve the quality of all materials in the warehouse.
Perform small packaging jobs and process cross-dock shipments in an efficient manner.
Cross train to work on kitting lines as needed.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum of a High School education or equivalent, prefer 2 year degree in related field.
Four or more years of shipping and receiving in a fast-paced logistics operation.
Have good problem solving and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Able to read and interpret work instructions and/or blue prints to perform material inspections.
Must be detailed oriented and possess good intermediate math skills, such as adding, subtracting, counting, interpret decimals and fractions.
Be able to frequently lift, up to 50 lbs. and may exceed 50 lbs. occasionally.
Experience operating a forklift and conducting preventive maintenance.
Understands Lean manufacturing concepts.
Proficient PC skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience working with UPS, Federal Express, DHL or other similar shipping systems.
